New chairs

Thanks Baboo and Grandpa for our new chairs! Addie thinks they are both hers and when Bryan showed her Grady's name she said..."Daddy, you are just teasing me!"

2 weeks old

It's hard to believe our little man is already two weeks old! He is such a sweet baby. He puts up with Addie shoving a pacifier in his mouth, rocking his carseat, yelling in his face for him to wake up and constantly covering him up with blankets...his face and all! Addie loves to see his eyes open and this morning while they were open she got right in his face and said, "Hi Grady, I'm your big sister. One day you will go exploring with me!" We went to the doctor yesterday and he weighed 7 lbs 10 oz was just over 20 inches long.

Grady's first few days at home

Addie continues to adore Grady...loves to help with everything and is very concerned about his belly button. She can not wait for it to fall off so she can take a bath with him...yikes! She always wants to hold him and carry him with her. However, she is still having a little bit of a hard time. We never know what is going to set her off and send her into a sea of tears. We are trying to be extremely patient with her! I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my sweet little sidekick! I hope she comes back soon!

Hmmm...what should I do next...eat, sleep, or use the restroom....

Grady got his thumb in his mouth...I am hoping this does not stick...sorry Kiki...

Grady spends his days eating (a lot!) and sleeping. He is so good and we hardly ever hear a peep out of him!

Addie and I gave Grady his first sponge bath. Addie loved it...much more than Grady did!

Big Sister Addie

Addie became a big sister Monday afternoon at 1:46. Grady Lane Weston was born weighing 6lbs 14 oz and is 19 and 3/4 inches long. Dr. Cox let Bryan deliver him...definitely something he will never forget! He looks just like Addie did and is so sweet. Addie calls him Gravy and loves helping with his diapers and his pacifier. Anytime he cries she asks me if I am going to give him a little bit of milk...so funny...and today told me to "put Gravy down" before I could read her a book. She continues to ask us where his mommy and daddy are and we can definitely tell that she is a little sad but hopefully she will get back to her normal happy self soon!!! We drove home from San Antonio yesterday and it is really nice to be home! Grady loves to snuggle up close to us...although I told Bryan that he is already deprived because he is not held near as much as Addie was! Although I do not quite know what to do with a boy (no bows, dress up, tutu's, and accessories) I am so thrilled to enter into a world of trucks, trains and dinosaurs. Bryan and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful family and look forward to watching Addie and Grady discover each other in the months to come!

On our way to the hospital.
It's a boy!!!
Addie was so excited to FINALLY wear her big sister shirt! Addie is meeting Grady for the first
time.
Grady left the hospital in the same outfit that Bryan wore home from the hospital. He looked so handsome!

All ready to go home! We were a little sad to leave our suite at the hospital. We were treated like royalty and waited on hand and foot! However, we were too excited to see Addie to stay any later!

8.6.09

Yesterday we went shopping in Boerne and saw this walking down Main street. The babies were SO cute and Addie went crazy over them. She wanted to take one home and I kind of did too!!! We ate lunch at the Peach Cafe...if you are ever in Boerne, you need to eat there. It was great!

This morning we went to Dynamoze. It is an indoor play center with bounce houses and all kinds of fun toys for kids to play with. Addie had a great time and there were tons of tears when our two hours were up!
This is Addie and Bailey (my parents' dog). She is very old and doesn't care much about Addie but Addie loves Bailey. She is always looking for her and has to give her hugs and kisses before bed.

The other morning, I happened upon Addie reading her library books to her baby. Too cute!
