Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas with Addie this year! We spent a week visiting family and friends in Austin and Dallas. When we got home, Santa had been to our house and left Addie a table and chairs for her playroom. She loves her table. She colors, plays tea, and occaisonally climbs on top of it! We had 5 different Christmases and by the last one, Addie was a pro at opening gifts! Every time she unwrapped one, she would say "ooohhhh." It was so cute! We are finally unpacked and trying to get back into our routine. Addie has been a tad bit naughty the past few days and we are hoping it is due to all of our traveling!
Here is Addie with her cousins on the Stockton side in Austin.
Addie received the cutest backpack from her Aunt Bobbie and Aunt Judy. She loves it!
Addie opened a beautiful quilt that her Mimi made for her...and also went for a ride in her new wagon..with all of her belongings in her arms...
Addie and Grandpa watching Sesame Street and then Addie with Uncle Kyle...she had been showing him how she jumps on the bed :)

When we got home, Addie was thrilled to open new Elmo movies and a leap frog refrigerator toy! She also received a baby doll and she loves to feed her and put her to bed.
Addie got some fingernail polish in her stocking and it was a hit...how did Santa know? She is very proud of her fingers and toes and shows them to everyone!

12.14.08

Addie loves our cat Mao (O'Malley). She always wants to hold him and love on him. The problem is, he does not love her back. He runs when he sees her and may swat her from time to time. However this particular morning she managed to inch herself behind him and "hold him" in her lap. She gave him her blankie which is a true sign of her love!
Addie has also discovered popcorn! It has actually worked out well for me because it buys me at least an hour in Target! It is the cheapest entertainment I have found!
Here are a couple of Addie dressed up for Christmas pictures. When she puts on a "fancy" dress, she loves to go show her daddy and have him tell her how pretty she is. It is so cute!

Our family rooting for the Aggies and the Owls!
Addie and Mommy....Addie would say, "Oh my mama!"

Santa Video

Visit with Mavis and Aiden

Addie and I went to Dallas the week after Christmas and had a great time. Mavis and I took Aiden and Addie to see Santa and neither of the girls enjoyed him much. Addie acted like she would like to go see him, while Aiden started crying the second she spotted him! We enjoyed spending time with Mavis and Aiden and it is really fun watching the girls grow and play together. Addie wanted to love and hug on Aiden and Aiden would tell her "No." Addie is definitely VERY concerned with everything going on around her. She does not want to miss out on anything. If I told her she could not do something, and then Aiden did it...she would let me know. Mavis and I giggle at her because she is constantly worrying that someone is going to get something or do something that she wants.

Addie has adorable pigtails today and I just had to share! There is also a picture of her with her gatagatagata (turkey) that we made at story hour today. She is very proud of her turkey and couldn't wait to bring it home and show it to Daddy!

Weekend in San Antonio

We got back this afternoon from a busy weekend in San Antonio. On Saturday, we took Addie to see Sesame Street Live. She absolutely loved it! She is obsessed with Elmo..so this was right up her alley. She was so upset when we left and I was the mean mom who took a picture during this traumatic time. I just thought the lip was too cute to pass up! Addie also loves to stir things when I cook. I gave her her own pot of water the other day while I was cooking and she stirred for at least 10 minutes...which is a long time in the world of Addie!
On Sunday, I ran in the San Antonio Rock and Roll half marathon. Addie, Bryan, Kristin and Chance came to cheer me on and actually saw me finish! I was so happy to finally see them when I finished! I survived and finished in 2 hours and 14 minutes...which was a lot faster than I anticipated finishing!

Addie was more interested in eating the snacks I got her from the finish line than taking pictures!

Here are a couple of pictures from the park today. Addie loved playing with (following) Katie around. Katie is 5 and Addie copied everything she did. She saw Katie slide down the slide on her tummy and the next thing I knew, Addie was going down head first!

Posted by PicasaTonight we went to the Del Rio Ram's football game. Addie loved it! She loved watching the cheerleaders and the mascots. She thought the ram mascot was a cow and kept saying "booo." She sat very still and watched them the entire first half...we were very surprised! She enjoyed the music during half time and loved watching her "big girl friends" Morgan and Tyler cheer on the sidelines!
Daddy and I are cheering for the Rams!

Big Day

We had lots of excitement this morning! Last night I decided I was going to start a "potty routine" with Addie. She will sit on the potty first thing in the morning and then a couple of times throughout the day and then before she goes to bed. So she sat on the potty last night for a while without anything....but not this morning! I left her on the potty to go get her some grapes (yes a bribe) and when i came back there was tee tee!!!!! We were so excited...there may have even been a song and dance :)

Halloween

Addie had a great time trick or treating! She enjoyed being with the big kids and really tried to keep up with them. She absolutely loved the candy. She had pixie sticks, m&m's, fruit chews, and a sucker for dinner. She would not say trick or treat but she did tell everyone tink too (thank you). Obviously Addie loves beer bottles! Everyone was joking that it looked like she had a hard day at the dance studio.
