Big Boy

Grady decided right before Christmas that he HAD to sleep in a big boy bed.  I have always joked that I would keep him in a crib until he was 5 because he could not be trusted :).  However, he was so insistent that I gave in and he has not looked back since.  He has not gotten out of his bed once and when he wakes up in the morning or after his nap, he waits in bed for me to come get him!  He is turning into such a big boy...kind of sad!

December

We had a busy December!  One of Addie's classmates hosted a cookie decorating party.  Colter's mom was so organized and really knows how to host a very controlled party for 20+ 4 year olds!  I was amazed that her entire house was not covered in sprinkles and icing!  This is right up Addie's alley and she had a wonderful time!!

Grady and Jax had some playdates...

Addie tried to help Bryan decide on his favorite nachos...all of which included "bockamole."

Addie and I took her friend Reed to go and see The Nutcracker.

Addie was able to attend the Fine Arts Christmas party with me!  She loves getting dressed up for a party!

Addie and Grady dressed up for her school Christmas program.

We loved watching our little star sing and dance on stage!
We went to see Santa and after much bribing, both kids smiled while sitting on his lap!  We saw Santa at Bass Pro Shop and they had a lot of cute activities for the kids...including a carousel.

We went to San Marcos and had Christmas with my pa-pa and the rest of my dad's side of the family.

Addie had a wonderful Christmas party at school.  We did tons of crafts and Rudolph came to visit the kids!

Grady was too scared of Rudolph...he would not even look at him!

We enjoyed checking the mail to find and open the advent activity/treat that Mimi sent us each day.

We had a Christmas photo shoot

Addie and I made cookies...I love it that she loves to help me in the kitchen!  She is a really good helper and it is always more fun to cook with someone else!

We had Christmas with Poppy and Mimi at Kiki and T's house on Christmas Eve morning.  Both Addie and Grady were soooo excited to open presents and did a pretty good job at waiting their turn for each present.  Addie picked out a present for each one of her grandparents as well as me, Bryan and Grady at her school store.  I think she was more excited for everyone to open those gifts than she was her own!

We went to Christmas Eve service and Addie showed off her singing skills once again!

We opened our Christmas Eve presents (pajamas) and as you can see, Addie was not thrilled...

We left reindeer food outside and cookies and milk for Santa by our stockings!

Grady may or may not have eaten Santa's cookies...

We ended the night with Addie and Daddy reading "The Night Before Christmas."

Christmas morning brought lots of smiles and tons of present opening!  Our kids are beyond spoiled!
Highlights this year for Addie were...Baby Alive, a highchair and stroller, My Little Pony stuff, games for her computer, a desk and an easy bake oven.  Grady got a desk, a bike, trains, toy animals, a firetruck and blocks.  We spent the day with both of our families and enjoyed watching the kids play with their new toys.  We had a wonderful Christmas and it was so nice to be able to spend it with both of our families!
