Last Day of School

Today was Addie's last day of school.  Addie said that she was sad because she was going to miss Ms. Melinda and Ms. Gilda.  We were so lucky to have them as Addie's first teachers.  They loved Addie as much as she loved them and it truly showed.  She is much more confident and definitely more outgoing.  I am looking forward to having her home every day...I miss her when she is at school!

Here are some pictures from this morning

Addie put her little hat on Grady and he didn't seem to mind....

When Addie's in Charge

The other day, Addie asked me if she could go see Grady in his crib when he woke up from his nap.  I heard lots of giggling and screeching and when I went in there, this is what I found...

The toy and book distributor herself...

9 months old

Grady was nine months old last week!  He is quite the little mess now.  He is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything.  Addie was so cautious at this age and Grady is the furthest thing from cautious.  He stands up and then just lets go and either falls flat on his face or his back.  Last week he busted his lip for the first time. (Addie was 2 1/2 the first time she busted her lip)  He eats mostly table food but will still eat baby food if we are in a hurry.  He will eat anything and everything...which is nice for a change.  He has 5 teeth and the sixth one is making its way in now.  He is sleeping great at night and is still not a great daytime sleeper.  He loves going for walks in the stroller but is not a fan of the bike trailer.  He cries most of the time he is in it but I am not sure if he is crying because Addie won't leave him alone or because he doesn't like it.  He still worships Addie and crawls around after her often.  He has started getting frustrated with her when she gets in his business and definitely lets out a scream when she takes things away from him.  Addie has decided that she is the hall monitor and tells him what he can and can not do...wonder where she gets that from?? :)  He loves the cats and has already been swatted by Mal...Kitty just lets him pull all over her.  He is still very sweet and loves for me to cuddle him.  He often just lays his head on Bryan's shoulder when he is tired.  He loves "you are my sunshine" and "twinkle twinkle little star."  He is scared of loud noises like the blender, the vacuum (my excuse for not using it), the blizzard machine at Dairy Queen (wish I let this one bother me instead).  His favorite game is to crawl to the edge of Addie's bed as fast as he can and have me pull him back.  It is cute a few times but it sure makes story time last a whole lot longer!   He grabs my nose when I ask him to and cracks up when we get his.  He is very ticklish and gets the hiccups anytime I do tickle him!  He is the happiest little guy and everywhere we go someone comments on his smile!  He loves wheels and doors.  He is always shutting himself in rooms and then cries when he can't get out!  He is wearing 6 -12 month clothes, size 3 diapers and weighs almost 19 pounds.  He and Addie are within a half of an inch of each other at this age.  Every morning he is standing up in his crib waiting for me and acts as if he may die if he does not get fed immediately.  We could not love him more and wish we could stop time and enjoy him at this stage a little more!

Grady with his blanket.  He sleeps on it every night....although he is not as attached as Addie was.

Grady will no longer sit still for his photo shoots!
