Thanksgiving Fun

A couple of days before Thanksgiving, we invited Fiona, Emma and Jake over for a couple of crafts.  We made oreo turkeys and handprint turkeys.  Grady was a maniac and had to be "restrained" in his seat because he was attempting to eat the turkeys in progress.  I am pretty sure everyone had their weeks worth of sugar that afternoon!

Thanksgiving morning, Addie, Grady and I particpated in a turkey trot that Kristin organized.  Addie rode her bike the first mile and then took turns jogging with me and my mom and riding in the stroller.  It was  a great way to get in a little exercise before the beg meal!

Addie ready to go!

We were in Del Rio for Thanksgiving and had a great time with Bryan's family.  We ate entirely too much food and watched a lot of football!  On Friday, we met up with my brother's fiance and went shopping for her wedding dress!  We were lucky to find a beautiful dress here in Del Rio as well as dresses for Addie, Kristin and me!  We had a wonderful weekend and are so thankful for all of our family and friends!

Day on Base

We had a Moms Club event at Laughlin Airforce Base earlier in the month.  We went on a tour of the base and then headed to a hanger where the kids could touch and climb all over the planes.  Addie skipped school that day to join us and bothshe and Grady had a wonderful time!  A bus picked us up at the hanger and took us to the simulator building.  We took turns going into the simulator... my favorite part by far!  Addie loved it as well and helped me as we had the chance to land our T6!  Grady did not like the simulator and was out before we even got started.  We ended our visit with a picnic lunch at a park on base....we love our base friends and feel so lucky to get to be a part of experiences like this!

Halloween

Addie dressed up as Hello Kitty this year and Grady was an airplane.  They were both so excited to dress up and even more excited to trick or treat.  We went over to Hyslop's for their annual Halloween party.  Addie and Mellie ran off together again like last year.  Mellie is in 5th grade and this may have been her last year to trick or treat with the little ones...so sad.  Addie worships both of Dacia's girls and they are both so sweet to her!  Grady and Jax had a great time together.  I am so happy that they play so well together!  They are so funny to watch...it will definitely be fun to watch them grow up together!

Off to trick or treat at Nanna and Buck's house

Addie was very excited to receive The Lion King!

Grady LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and is always saying, "oh toodles!"

Crossfit

Grady and I go to crossfit every morning.  He is a trooper and sits in a stroller while I work out.  He watches Wonder Pets and plays games on my phone.  He also watches everything we do and as soon as we are finished with our workout, he gets out of his stroller and tries to copy everything we did that day!  It is so cute and funny to watch.

Grady and his friend Aitana.  He LOVES her and gets so excited to see her every day!

Dress Up

Addie loves to play dress up and of course Grady loves to do anything Addie does.  Poor Grady, I am sure these will haunt him one day :)

He's cute

This smile gets me every time.  He is so darn cute!  Bryan and I love the way he sits in his carseat...such a little man!

Pumpkin Patch

The Methodist Church held its 2nd annual pumpkin patch in October.  Grady wanted to buy every pumpkin there and tested his strength over and over.  Addie found the perfect carving pumpkin along with several others to paint and glitter.

Movies

I took Addie, Grady and Addie's friend Emma to see the Lion King while it was in the theatre.  This was both Addie and Grady's first time to the movies.  Addie LOVED it and Grady did better than I expected he would.  They both loved the popcorn and Addie loved the 3d glasses!

Trip to the dentist

This handsome guy had his first dentist appointment.  I was a little nervous because Addie's first visit did not go over so well!  However, he was GREAT and sat very nicely while "Mr. Dentist" brushed his teeth.  He was so proud of himself and as we were walking away yelled, "Bye Mr. Dentist!"  Of course the highlight of the visit, was the balloon!

Girls Night Out

Addie and I went to the Miss Del Rio pagent a couple of weeks ago.  We had a great time watching the girls dance and model their fancy clothes!  Although our pick didn't win, we had a great time together!

Writing

Addie has really started sounding out words and trying to spell on her own.  This was one of her first sentences alone!  I was so impressed!!!

(The Fourth of July fireworks are coming)

Flower girl

Addie was so excited to be a flower girl in a wedding for Bryan's cousin.  She was able to pick out her own dress...which was VERY exciting for her!  She did such a great job and Bryan and I were so proud of her!
